It typically involves people gathering around the open tailgate of a vehicle to enjoy food, drinks, and games. Tailgates are a popular tradition in American culture and are a way for fans to come together and build excitement before an event. **

To determine if the tailgate is locked, you can physically check the tailgate to see if it is securely closed and locked. You can also use the vehicle's key fob or interior locking button to remotely lock the tailgate. Additionally, some vehicles have a feature that allows you to check the status of the tailgate lock through the vehicle's infotainment system or mobile app. If you are unsure, refer to the vehicle's manual for specific instructions on how to lock the tailgate. **

Once the hinge pins are removed, lift the tailgate off the hinges. To secure the tailgate, you can reinstall the hinge pins or use a locking tailgate handle or tailgate lock to prevent theft or accidental opening. **

An electric tailgate can be a convenient feature for individuals who frequently have their hands full or struggle with lifting heavy items into the trunk. It can also be helpful for those with mobility issues or parents with young children who need assistance loading and unloading items. However, if you do not have these specific needs, an electric tailgate may not be a necessary feature for you and could be seen as an added expense.
